As human beings, we want to do as we please. When what we want is against what God says, this presents a problem; however, there is an even greater problem. When religious teachers want to justify their desires, they will distort and even deny God’s Word. They do this in order to control people, get rich, and fulfill their darkest desires. The Apostle Peter addresses false teachers and tells us exactly what these false teachers are like. In doing so, he warns the saints not to fall for their false teaching, but to look at their lives and then reject their teaching.
