Today churches are different. We don’t hear a lot of messages about Jesus’ return, the rapture, or about the coming judgement of the world. Why is this?
There may be a number of reasons. One reason might be that in the last half century or so, the prosperity in the US affected Christians so much that life became relatively easy.
Paul tells believes to wake up. Being lulled to sleep by the prevailing culture, Paul tells believers to wake up and stop sinning. He also tells believers to speak up – to tell people about Jesus. Finally, he tells them to look up – Jesus is coming soon!
