The fear of the Lord means that one recognizes God’s character and responds by revering or feeling a deep respect or admiration for Him.
The lack of a fear of God is a sign that people have rejected God.
Fear is used to indicate being afraid of someone or something.
The Bible speaks of many different people with many different fears. Ten of the twelve spies feared going to take the land of Canaan. Soldiers feared going to war. Jesus’ disciples feared the storm.
