In life, we frequently come to a fork in the road. Often the choice comes down to two ways from which to choose: the way of wisdom (righteousness) or the way of the wicked. Solomon instructs his son not even to take the first step toward the ways of the wicked. Their way is consumed by evil, while the way of the righteous is consumed by God’s wisdom. Each of these ways has opposite destinies. Those who are wise walk in the light, but those who are wicked walk in darkness.
As followers of Christ, we must be completely dedicated to God’s wisdom. His teachings must govern our heart, control what we say, guide what we see, and dictate what we do. To succeed in life, we must pursue God’s wisdom all the days of our life.
In following God’s wisdom, we will know which path to take when life brings us to that fork in the road. Live wisely!
