Where do we look for authority? God’s Word is the authority for our lives – for what we believe and how we behave. In this video we explore the certainty of God’s message, the authority of God’s message, and the origin of God’s message.
Peter begins by telling his readers that God’s Word – the prophetic message – is more certain than the voice of God speaking audibly from heaven. Then, he instructs us to pay attention to God’s Word. Finally, Peter explains the origin of God’s message – it did not come as a product of human will or opinions, but people wrote God’s message as God’s Holy Spirit carried them along.
