The Apostle Paul had worked with the Galatians through the issue of circumcision and following the law. There were no doubt some who had followed this false teaching. This passage also demonstrates that some had not followed this error and were living by the Spirit. Paul tells these believers to demonstrate a life of service by gently coming to the assistance of those who had fallen. These instructions apply to assisting anyone who has been caught in any sin, not merely the one in Galatians. This passage describes a life of service within this context.
